"Thrive Orthodontics and Dr. Akkaway did an amazing job! I came in with a challenging open bite that felt a bit hopeless. Within 48 weeks my bite was fully corrected, using only Invisalign. Even my dentist was impressed that this was able to be done without full braces, and as quickly as it was. The doctors and staff were friendly and the office was run very efficiently. I never waited more than 5 minutes for my appointment and was always greeted with a smile on my way in, and a freshly baked cookie on my way out :) I would highly recommend Thrive Orthodontics for any smile or bite issue."

"Have been taking my sons to this office for orthodontics the past 4 years. Wait time is short and Dr Akkaway and his assistants are very professional and friendly. A few times we had to come in for emergencies and they were always able to see us on very short notice, which is a plus.We also started coming here for the pediatric dentist who is also very thorough, while at the same time being gentle during cleanings with the kids."

"My 9 year old granddaughter was examined by Dr. Akkaway for possibly needing braces. I highly recommend this office. The first visit six months ago found this doctor and staff to be totally professional and caring and made Kathleen at ease and comfortable. Also, the office space is obviously following covid protocol 100%. We had a follow-up visit recently to reassess Kathleen's development. Braces will be applied in the next couple of months without any extractions being required. Kathleen is still extremely secure with this staff and is looking forward to treatment here. There is no doubt about the care and expertise in this office."

"We have been part of Dr. Akkaway’s Orthodontic Family for a very (very) long time... My son’s started treatments with him very early and as we wrap up a long standing 7!! Year relationship today, I’d be remiss if I didn’t share how awesome my experiences with this office have been:The entire staff has always been so patient, kind, and efficient. From last minute appointments for broken brackets (I swear my older son ate rocks in middle school), to last minute cancellations for things that were out of our control- they have always been as accommodating as possible.Dr. Akkaway is warm, welcoming and “cool” (description from my middle schooler). "As an adult the thought of an orthodontist is not something you look forward to however Dr. Akkaway and staff made my invisalign treatment amazing. First off, the remodeled Kinnelon office is by far the best doctors office I've ever stepped foot into - from the waiting area with tablet stations to the TV's mounted on the ceiling (yes I said ceiling) above the chairs, the tech and appearance of this office is eye candy for anyone, let alone a techie like myself. I appreciate when a doctor has the latest tech, nothing turns me off more than a dentist who still has their original chairs from the 90's. I could go on for days about the office but don't let that take away from the staff and Dr. Akkaway - unbelievably organized, pleasant and willing to answer and assist with all questions. I'd recommend Dr. Akkaway over and over again and based on other reviews I'm not alone. I'll definitely be bringing my kids when the day comes."
"I got my son braces at Akkaway Orthodontics. Every time we have went there Mr. Akkaway and all his assistants were very kind. I had no doubt that this was the right place for my son as he also even tells me that it never hurts him. I am proud to say that this is the right orthodontist as there has never been a problem with my son, so I feel like I should also think that it won’t hurt anyone else either. This orthodontist shall be recommended for so many other kids who need braces."

My daughter is under going orthodontist treatment and I already see great results . Dr.Akkaway is very honest and is definetly not in a hurry to put braces on and take your money if not yet needed. Clean and modern with all updated equipment I always recomend Dr.Akkaway, unfortunately he doesn't take my ins but was able to set up a payment plan that works for my family. "I truly trust and enjoy Dr.Akkaway and his staff so much, that I drive 1.5 hours routinely for my appointments. I live out of state and still have kept him as my ortho because the experience has been so positive. Not only is the staff friendly but they are all knowledgeable. The office is clean and up to date with technology too, which is a huge plus! Previously, I had the worst experience with my orthodontist providing me a fake version of Invisalign. "I have been a patient of Dr.Akkaways for a year now! Whoo Hoo! The reason we chose Dr. Akkaway for my orthodontist is because both Dr. Akkaway and his staff made us feel right at home immediately. It is like buying a pair of shoes" Your not going to buy them if they don't fit right!" At first, I had gone for a consultation at another orthodontist, but my mother said we were going for a second opinion. Which is how I wound up at Dr. Akkaway's! I'm so happy we did because I couldn't imagine getting the experience I have received with Dr. Akkaway and his extremely friendly staff anywhere else. They are the perfect fit for me! As his patient he has an awesome waiting area with a flat screen T.V., video games, and more! Honestly though, we never had to wait so if I wanted to use any of these items I would go in the waiting area after my appointment. While you wait in the chair to have your braces tightened, repairs, etc... there is another flat screen T.V. with movies playing! But again I've really never had to wait Dr. Akkaway's offices are always busy with patients but there is never a wait you are taken in immediately. His staff are wonderful! They are so friendly and nurturing. Some people say having braces isn't fun but I have had such a great experience! Dr. Akkaway and his staff are making it not only easy but fun to get the perfect smile. I'm happy my braces are coming off soon so that I will be able to eat caramel again! "Everyone who works at Akkaway Orthodontics are super inviting. You can ask them any question concerning your teeth and they will give you a really helpful answer. I definitely recommend going here and I absolutely love it! I would've never thought that I would look forward to going to the orthodontist, until now :) Also, I can see that my teeth are getting so much straighter with every visit and so far I've had no problems with them at all.
